I do not think my heart is healed from losing her sister Lady fully. Today I
said goodbye to my Bora. She was 11 years with a tumor in her stomach area that
we knew was cancer....we opted not to cut it and we promised her a life free of
pain. She gained 5 more years then the doctors thought she wouldn't. She
played with her children and grandchildren and taught them her "way". Bora left
us with her son Damien who is proving just how special he is, and she left me
with her daughter Arusha who looks so much like her mother that fresh tears fall
when i look over at her. I will miss my Bora mostly at night when her cold nose
is not there to kiss me good night and her body not there under my feet to keep
them warm. She will not be there for me to shoo off the bus just before yet
another show...I promised her everytime that she will go next time. She made
friends easy and had many memories to carry her to the bridge. She will go to be with her mother Beau, her grandmother Elka, and her great grandmother Edda...but mostly to lay beside her sister Lady and wait for me to join them....then we will play in the fields again together. Godspeed my baby girl...my heart will never be the same without you....nothing will. |
